A top law firm is seeking a Transactional Tax Associate with 4–7 years of experience to join its New York office
. This role offers the opportunity to work on complex, high-value transactions alongside one of the market’s leading structured finance and tax teams.
The ideal candidate will have experience advising on transactional tax matters and be comfortable managing multiple deals in a fast-paced environment.
Experience with the tax aspects of CLOs and other structured finance transactions is strongly preferred. Associates will work closely with a Structured Finance Group on innovative matters involving asset-backed securities, including esoteric ABS, CLOs, repack agings, re-securitizations, and other sophisticated financings.
This position offers meaningful responsibility, direct collaboration with deal teams, and the opportunity to build deep expertise in a highly specialized practice area.
QualificationsIdeal candidates will have:
- 4–7 years of transactional tax experience
- Exposure to structured finance transactions; CLO experience preferred
- Strong academic credentials and excellent communication skills
- The ability to manage multiple transactions simultaneously
- Admission to the New York State Bar (required)

Compensation and BenefitsThe expected salary range for this position is $310,000 to $420,000
, depending on qualifications, experience, skill set, and other job-related factors. Additional compensation may include an annual discretionary merit bonus based on firm and individual performance.
