Responsibilities- Works closely with Assistant United States Attorneys to investigate trends and leads to develop potential cases and build a body of evidence that AUSAs can use to generate subpoenas, engage with potential defendants, and determine whether to pursue claims.
- Lends support to existing fraud matters by collaborating with the assigned agent from the relevant Office of Inspector General (OIG), particularly in large and complex investigations.
- Provides professional investigations and collateral coverage to clarify and verify facts in Criminal/Civil/National Security investigations, or similar matters.
- Provides expert testimony in court cases, affidavits, Grand Jury, and related matters.
- Travels in support of investigations.
- Provides analysis of information and makes intelligence assessments for cognizant investigators.
- Produces written reports/analysis of investigation and intelligence information.
- Strong oral communication skills are required.
- Bachelor's degree required; master's degree or additional experience can substitute for advanced degree requirements.
- Formalized training and certification within a specific expertise/investigative area.
- Experience with in a specific investigative field.
- Strong web-based research skills.
- Experience using a variety of social media platforms, language translation software, open-source intelligence (OSINT) techniques, and social media analytic tools.
- High proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Word, PowerPoint).
- Experience with analytical software such as Palantir, I-2 Analyst Notebook, Glimpse, or Pen-Link.
- Experience creating visuals (graphs, charts) to be used in preparing cases for grand jury and trials.
- Ability to testify in court regarding investigative results.
- Excellent written reports/analysis of investigation and intelligence.
- Above-average oral communication skills.
This position requires U.S. Citizenship and a 7 (or 10) year minimum background investigation.

Target salary range: $79,140 - $91,010. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
