Salary: $75,000 - $95,000 per year
Our client is an exciting and growing plaintiff personal injury law firm located in the Financial District, with over 20 attorneys and 50 support staff, handling a wide variety of cases, including motor vehicle accidents, premise liability, Labor Law, workers' compensation, product liability, and more. As a family‑run legal practice, their attorneys guide accident victims and their families through the complex litigation process to obtain full compensation after a serious or fatal accident.
Position:
Plaintiff Personal Injury Litigation Paralegal (detail‑oriented, strong writing, research, and analytical abilities)
Responsibilities:
- Assist attorneys throughout the full lifecycle of a case—from initial fact‑gathering through discovery, motion practice, settlement negotiations, and appellate work.
- Prepare a wide range of litigation documents, including Summons and Complaints, Bills of Particulars, Notices of Claim, pleadings, discovery demands and responses, settlement papers, and procedural correspondence.
- Coordinate electronic discovery, maintain organized and up‑to‑date case records, and track all discovery obligations and court‑ordered deadlines.
- Draft and file pleadings, including initiating actions through the preparation of complaints, verify property ownership, obtain pertinent reports, handle service coordination, and manage electronic filing through NYSCEF.
- Prepare notices required to commence or preserve claims, draft routine litigation letters, stipulations, and materials related to default practice.
