A leading national law firm focused exclusively on labor and employment law is seeking a mid-level Employment Litigation Associate to join its New York City office.

Job Responsibilities- Litigating cases involving discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and other employment‑related claims
- Representing employers in court, before administrative agencies, and in mediations and arbitrations
- Advising clients on compliance, workplace policies, and risk management
- Collaborating with partners and Litigation Managers to align assignments with professional goals
- Contributing to business development and client relationship initiatives with support from the firm’s dedicated BD Managers
This position offers a mix of litigation and counseling (approximately 70% litigation / 30% counseling and transactional work) with flexibility to tailor your practice.
Requirements- JD from an accredited law school with excellent academic credentials
- 3‑7 years of experience preferred (employment, commercial litigation, or insurance defense backgrounds considered)
- Admission to the New York Bar (or ability to obtain)
- Exceptional written and oral advocacy skills
- Strong organization, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple matters
- Team‑oriented mindset and commitment to client service
- Flexible hybrid schedule, typically 2‑3 days per week in office
- Manageable workload with 1,750 billable hours plus 100 non‑billables for CLEs, firm events, and networking
- One‑on‑one development with a Litigation Manager (partner) who supports growth and mentorship
- Dedicated business development team to help associates build and sustain client relationships
- Clear path to partnership, generally attainable around the eight‑year mark
- Diverse and stable client base, including global corporations, growing startups, and family‑owned businesses across industries
