Are you an ambitious tax associate ready to join a firm with real partnership potential?
LHH is partnering with a full service midsized, Vault and Chambers-ranked law firm to recruit a Tax Associate (4+ years) for its New York City office.
This group understands the complexities of ever-evolving tax laws and provides sophisticated, cost-effective advice on a broad range of personal and business investment and transaction matters. With clients’ personal and business objectives at the forefront, their attorneys carefully analyze financial and legal considerations to minimize tax burdens, mitigate liabilities, and ensure compliance. They offer creative and practical tax counsel to individuals, entrepreneurs, nonprofits, foundations, investors, partnerships, and corporations on corporate, partnership, compensation, and federal, state, and local tax issues affecting their assets and intellectual property.
Compensation:
$215,000 - $235,000
, depending on experience and class year
- Hands-on experience with a range of domestic and international tax matters including mergers, acquisitions, and joint ventures; partnership tax; real estate transactions including RPTT, and tax controversies
- Will design tax-efficient structures and represent clients involved in venture capital, private equity, investment funds, and middle-market, international, and joint-venture deals across numerous industries
- Strong academic credentials required
- Prior experience at an elite firm strongly preferred
- J.D. from an accredited law school
- Member in good standing of the New York State Bar
- Demonstrated excellence in written advocacy, legal analysis, and strategy
- Background from a top-tier tax practice preferred
