Dispatch Energy is seeking a skilled energy projects attorney to support our continued growth and expansion. Reporting to the General Counsel, the Counsel will provide high-quality, timely, and practical legal support across all phases of project development and operations. The ideal candidate will have experience with construction agreements, offtake, site control agreements and related project documentation, as well as exposure to financing and M&A transactions.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
:
- Draft, review and negotiate project contracts, including EPC agreements, procurement contracts, development services agreements, site leases, interconnection agreements and O&M contracts.
- Support overall development strategy and negotiation, including with respect to permitting and licensing efforts.
- Support the capital markets team on debt and tax equity financing, including drafting and reviewing financing documents and coordinate closings.
- Lead and coordinate legal due diligence for asset acquisitions and other corporate transactions.
- Monitor and interpret legislative and regulatory developments that may impact the company or its subsidiaries.
- Manage outside counsel as needed to ensure effective, efficient, and high-quality legal support.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) or equivalent from an accredited institution.
- Active license to practice law in the United States.
- Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in project development and finance, either at a law firm or in-house. Experience with distributed generation projects is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of U.S. energy markets and project finance principles.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Excellent collaboration skills and ability to interact seamlessly with cross-functional teams, including origination, construction, asset management and capital markets.

$200,000 - $300,000 Total Compensation (inclusive of cash bonus potential)
