This is a full-time on-site role for an Associate Attorney based in Queens, NY. The Associate Attorney will be responsible for representing clients in immigration cases, including preparing and filing legal documents, offering legal advice, conducting detailed research, participating in negotiations, and drafting legal arguments. The role will involve working directly with clients in sensitive legal matters and contributing to case strategy and preparedness.
Litigation and a strong commitment to upholding clients' rights are essential aspects of this position.
- Represent clients in various legal matters, including preparing legal documents, conducting legal research, and providing legal counsel.
- Attend court appearances as required, representing clients effectively and professionally.
- Manage a diverse caseload, ensuring timely and efficient progression of cases.
- Communicate regularly with clients, keeping them informed of case developments and providing clear, concise legal advice.
- Collaborate with senior attorneys and legal staff to develop case strategies and ensure optimal outcomes for clients.
- Maintain accurate and organized client files and case documentation.
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) or LLM degree from an accredited law school.
- Active and in good standing Bar license in New York bar (preferred).
- Work authorization in the United States is mandatory.
- Prior experience in immigration law is a plus.
- Experience in other areas of law practice is also preferred.
- Bilingual proficiency in any language, but not a must.
- Excellent legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- A commitment to providing high-quality legal services and advocating for clients' best interests.
