Overview
Paul Hastings' Real Estate Department is seeking an Associate with three to six years of experience to join its RE Finance and RE Development team in New York. Ideal candidates will have experience representing lenders on mortgage and subordinate commercial real estate loans (including mezzanine loans and preferred equity) and/or experience with real estate acquisitions, dispositions, joint ventures, borrower-side finance, and development transactions.
Experience with construction lending or repurchase facilities is a plus. This is a unique opportunity to work on deal teams with early responsibility and client facing time. Therefore, associates will need to be highly skilled at working on the main transactional documents (e.g., drafting joint venture agreements and loan agreements). Excellent academic credentials and law firm experience are required. Candidates must be admitted to the New York Bar.

- Represent lenders on mortgage and subordinate real estate loans, including mezzanine loans and preferred equity.
- Involved in real estate acquisitions, dispositions, joint ventures, borrower-side finance, and development transactions.
- Assist on construction lending or repurchase facilities if applicable.
- Work on deal teams with early responsibility and client-facing time.

- Three to six years of experience in real estate finance or development transactions.
