J. Deedy, & Associates is a highly regarded law practice serving parents of children with disabilities in New York City, Nassau, Suffolk and Westchester counties.

We assist parents in the entire process of obtaining the right services for their child, which includes obtaining appropriate evaluations, developing an individually tailored I.E.P., finding an appropriate public or private school placement and seeking public funding of private school placements. The firm has a very successful track record in prevailing in Due Process Hearings and has successfully resolved thousands of cases without the need for litigation.

We know that not everyone has experience in education law, as it is a very specialized field. However, we want individuals that are ready to learn, and ready to pour their heart and soul into this very important work. We find that the best candidates are:

• Attorneys with litigation experience representing school districts or parents in this field of law with strong research, writing and interpersonal skills
• Attorneys with litigation experience such as Assistant District Attorneys who are seeking a higher earning potential in their career with a genuine interest in this field of law, with strong research, writing and interpersonal skills
• Attorneys with personal experience/knowledge in this field, strong research, writing and interpersonal skills with an interest in learning the scope of litigation in this field.
• Newly admitted attorneys with strong research, writing and interpersonal skills, a demonstrated interest in this field and an interest in learning the scope of litigation in this field
• Candidates should be admitted to NYS Bar or pending bar admission

• Starting salary range: $100,000 - $160,000 commensurate with experience.
