Overview

Immigration Attorney (Nonprofit) | Part-Time | $35–$60/hr DOE

Our nonprofit client is seeking a mission-driven Immigration Attorney to provide high-impact legal services to immigrant communities. This is meaningful, client-centered work supporting access to justice, dignity, and family stability.

What You’ll Do
  • Provide legal consultations and representation in immigration matters (family-based, humanitarian, employment-based, and/or removal defense)
  • Prepare and file petitions, motions, briefs, affidavits, and supporting documentation
  • Represent clients before USCIS and related federal agencies
  • Maintain accurate case files, timelines, and compliance standards
  • Collaborate with advocates, social workers, and community partners
  • Participate in community legal education and outreach as needed
  • Stay current on immigration law, policy updates, and best practices
What We’re Looking For
  • J.D. and active bar admission in any U.S. jurisdiction
  • Immigration law experience preferred (nonprofit or legal aid experience a plus)
  • Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills
  • Ability to work with diverse, multilingual communities with cultural humility
  • Spanish or additional language skills strongly preferred
  • Commitment to immigrant rights, community advocacy, and nonprofit values
Schedule (20 hours/week)
  • Saturday & Sunday (Remote): 12 hours total
  • Two weekdays (Part-Time): 4 hours each day
  • Tuesdays required on-site
  • Second weekday may be remote or on-site (hybrid)

Compensation

$35–$60/hour (DOE)
