Join Corning’s Law Department as a Paralegal I supporting the Intellectual Property (IP) team. In this entry-level role, you’ll provide legal and administrative support to patent attorneys, with hands‑on learning, direct supervision, and opportunities to develop foundational skills in intellectual property law.

· Assist patent attorneys with the intake and management of IP matters and correspondence.

· Organize and maintain IP‑related data, agreements, and documents utilizing applicable tools and systems within the Law Department, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with department procedures.

· Track deadlines, run reports, and assist with docket management for the patent team.

· Coordinate communications with internal stakeholders and external law firms.

· Conduct basic legal research and summarize findings for attorney guidance.

· Associate’s degree or equivalent education required.

· 1+ years of relevant work experience in a legal, administrative, or related support role.

· Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

· Ability to follow instructions, learn new processes, and apply feedback.

· Clear written and verbal communication.

· Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, Adobe Acrobat, and willingness to learn new technology tools.

· Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.

· Team‑oriented mindset and readiness to support colleagues.

· Bachelor’s degree or paralegal certification preferred.

The range for this position is $41,211.00-$56,666.00 assuming full time status. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job‑related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
