Location: New York

Our client a midsized law firm is seeking a dynamic and experienced Law Partner specializing in Trust and Estates to join their law firm in New York. This leadership role is designed for a legal professional with a proven track record in managing complex estate planning and trust matters, as well as mentoring junior attorneys. The ideal candidate will bring strong business development skills and the ability to further enhance our firm's reputation and client base.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage the Trust and Estates practice group, overseeing all aspects of client engagement.
  • Develop strategic plans for business growth and establish strong client relationships.
  • Provide expert legal counsel on a wide range of estate planning issues, including wills, trusts, and estate tax matters.
  • Mentor and train junior attorneys and support staff in best practices and legal strategies.
  • Represent clients in probate and estate administration matters in court when necessary.
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in laws and regulations affecting estate planning and communicate these changes effectively to clients and staff.
  • Foster collaboration with other practice areas within the firm to provide comprehensive client services.
Qualifications
  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admitted to the New York Bar.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in Trust and Estates law.
  • Proven track record of business development and client relationship management.
  • Strong leadership, mentoring, and analytical skills.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Demonstrated expertise in estate planning, trust administration, and probate law.
