We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly responsive part-time (20 hours per week) Paralegal to support our Canada and US legal and compliance operations from our New York office. This role is ideal for an experienced paralegal who thrives in a fast-moving financial services environment and is comfortable managing multiple priorities with precision and discretion.
You will work closely with internal legal, compliance, operations, and sales teams, as well as external counsel, to ensure legal matters move forward efficiently, and deadlines are consistently met.
Key Responsibilities- Legal and transactional support across funds, SPVs, and corporate matters.
- Support subscription documents, side letters, and investor materials.
- Assisting other departments with investor onboarding and subscription closings.
- Support Regulation D, Blue Sky, FINRA, and SEC-related filings.
- Assist with AML/KYC documentation and compliance coordination.
- Entity formation and corporate record maintenance.
- Legal research and general support.
- Paralegal Certificate or equivalent legal training.
- 3–6+ years’ experience in financial services, securities, or corporate law.
- Familiarity with US and Canadian securities filings preferred.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently, manage a large workload volume, competing priorities and demands.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Early AI adopter and enthusiast.
Compensation (NYC – Part-Time):
Approximate annualized equivalent: $42,000–$73,000 USD depending on hours and experience.
