Key Responsibilities
- Support annual associate and staff attorney bonus and compensation programs.
- Assist with Legal Personnel budget and expense management, including monthly audits of budget variances and the preparation and review of attorney expense reimbursements, invoices, charitable contributions, and attorney matching donations.
- Provide administrative support for attorney departures, including document tracking and trend reporting.
- Support the attorney bar admission process by preparing employment affidavits and tracking firmwide bar admission status.
- Prepare, audit, and submit annual master ABA and DC Bar bills.
- Prepare documentation to memorialize changes in attorney status (e.g., arrivals, departures, leaves of absence), including compiling a weekly report for Talent leadership and performing audits to ensure accurate recordkeeping.
- Track attorney leaves of absence, secondments, and clerkships, and respond to attorney inquiries regarding related policies.
- Respond promptly to requests for attorney data, market research, and analysis for internal and external purposes.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of two (2) years of administrative support experience, preferably in a professional services, corporate, or law firm environment.
- Proficiency with Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience with vi Desktop and Smartsheet is a plus.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
- Collaborative approach and the ability to work effectively with all levels of firm personnel.
- Sound judgment and a demonstrated ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion.
- Flexible, creative problem-solver with strong attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Reliable and dependable, with flexibility to work additional hours as needed.
The anticipated base salary for this position is $64,257 to $75,000. The actual base salary offered will depend on a variety of factors, including without limitation, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and if applicable, the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.
