Assistant General Counsel

Our client is seeking an experienced Assistant General Counsel to join our legal team supporting complex commercial and technology transactions. You partner closely with senior business and operational stakeholders across the organization.

Responsibilities

• Lead and negotiate complex commercial and technology transactions, including:
• Technology and SaaS-related agreements
• Sell-side service agreements
• Buy-side and sell-side commercial contracts
• Leases and parking management–related agreements
• Serve as a strategic legal advisor to internal stakeholders, providing practical, business-oriented guidance
• Actively negotiate contracts not limited to company templates, including live negotiations with counter parties
• Identify and manage legal and commercial risk in technology-driven transactions
• Draft, review, and advise on agreements with clear, precise, and business-focused writing
• Contribute to a collaborative legal culture and support mentorship and professional development within the team

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school and active bar membership in good standing
• 8–15 years of legal experience
• Minimum 4 years of law firm experience, with strong training and mentorship
• Several years of in-house legal experience
• Deep experience with commercial and technology transactions
• Demonstrated experience negotiating complex tech agreements on counter party paper
• Solid understanding of technology concepts
• Exceptional drafting, writing, and oral negotiation skills
• High emotional intelligence (EQ) and strong stakeholder management skills
• Prior experience working in a professional office environment
