This is a full-time, on-site role based in New York, NY, for a Litigation Paralegal. The Litigation Paralegal will provide essential legal support to the firm's employment law practice, including conducting legal research, drafting legal documents such as pleadings and discovery, managing case files, and assisting with trial preparation. Additional responsibilities include coordinating with attorneys, communicating with clients, and maintaining proper case documentation.
The paralegal will play a vital role in ensuring all litigation processes are organized and deadlines are met.
- Strong research, analytical, and organization skills to assist with legal research and case preparation.
- Experience with drafting, proofreading, and editing legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery materials.
- Proficiency in managing case files, e-filing, and general case management tasks.
- Effective communication and client interaction skills to support attorneys and maintain client relationships.
- Adept in legal software and tools, with strong technology and database management skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced legal environment with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Paralegal certificate or degree in legal studies preferred, with prior experience in employment law or litigation highly desirable.
