Overview
LHH is partnering with the Managing Partners of a busy and growing, well-respected Plaintiff's firm in New York City
. The role will focus mostly on personal injury work, with real estate matters and family law matters as well.
Plaintiff's experience is a must.
Location: New York, NY (Onsite)
Employment type: Full-time, Direct Hire
Experience: 3+ years (must have some plaintiff's side litigation experience)
About the roleA small, growth‑minded NYC litigation boutique is seeking a midlevel associate to help drive a plaintiff‑side personal injury docket while pitching in on a diverse mix of matters (including some real estate litigation and family law
). You’ll get hands‑on responsibility, direct client contact, and meaningful courtroom experience in a team‑oriented, supportive environment.
- Manage plaintiff PI matters from intake through resolution: discovery, motion practice, depositions, and court appearances.
- Draft high‑quality motions/briefs and case strategy memos; prepare for hearings and settlement negotiations.
- Collaborate closely with partners and paralegals; pitch in on related real estate litigation and family law work (training provided as needed).
- Own your matters, communicate proactively with clients, and contribute to a positive, collaborative culture.
- 3+ years of litigation experience with plaintiff PI exposure strongly preferred; a mixed plaintiff/defense background is welcome, but plaintiff's experience is required.
- Strong writing advocacy (motions/briefs) and comfort in court.
- Team-first mindset, accountability, and a desire to grow in a small‑firm setting.
- Work arrangement: In‑office (NYC). Limited hybrid flexibility may be considered over time based on performance.
