Junior Health Care Associate – Ballard Spahr LLP
Ballard Spahr LLP is a more than 750 lawyer firm with 18 offices across the U.S. Our Business & Transactions Department seeks to hire a Junior Health Care Associate in New York with 2‑4 years of legal experience. Successful candidates will have experience representing health care payors and/or providers, and will have knowledge of the federal and state health care legal framework, including Medicare, Medicaid, Medicare Advantage, the Affordable Care Act, False Claims Act, Stark Law, the Anti‑Kickback Statute, HIPAA, and the corporate practice of medicine doctrine.
Outstanding academic credentials and excellent oral and written communication skills are required. Active bar license in New York is preferred.
The group represents hospitals, health systems, academic medical centers, long‑term care facilities, insurance companies, and specialty providers and counsels on regulatory, compliance, transactional, financing, real‑estate, intellectual property, benefits and compensation, and labor and employment matters. The firm’s healthcare lawyers help clients navigate changes, sidestep risk, protect and market their innovations, and leverage every possible opportunity.

The salary for this position is expected to be $230,000‑$275,000 depending on experience.
