Job Overview:
A respected law firm is seeking a full-time Litigation Associate Attorney with 4–6 years of experience in complex commercial litigation to join its New York City office. This position offers the opportunity to manage diverse litigation matters independently while also working alongside a collaborative and experienced legal team. The role requires court appearances, client interaction, and strategic case management across both state and federal forums.

Location:

Duties:

Manage all aspects of complex commercial litigation

Draft pleadings, motions, and legal memoranda

Handle discovery, including drafting, responding, and managing discovery disputes

Conduct and defend depositions

Appear in state and federal court proceedings as well as arbitrations

Provide day-to-day case management and strategic legal counsel

Maintain professional communication with clients and internal teams

Requirements:

4–6 years of relevant experience in commercial litigation

Experience handling litigation in New York State courts

Ability to work both independently and collaboratively on legal matters

Demonstrated capability to manage multiple active cases

Education:

Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

Active admission to the New York State Bar

Skills:

Superior academic credentials

Excellent legal research and writing skills

Strong oral communication and client-relations abilities

Proficient in litigation procedures and case strategy

High attention to detail and sound judgment
