Overview

Cooley LLP has opportunities available for attorneys with 4-7 years of experience with M&A and corporate governance work to join our M&A team with a focus on Shareholder Activism Defense. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in public company M&A, with expertise in securities law, Delaware law, and corporate governance, coupled with hands-on experience advising public companies in shareholder activism and takeover defense.

This role offers a unique opportunity to work closely with senior partners on high-stakes matters, develop client relationships, and play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our shareholder activism defense team.

Qualifications
  • High level of academic achievement from a nationally recognized law school.
  • 4-7 years of experience with M&A and corporate governance; experience advising public companies in shareholder activism and takeover defense.
  • Expertise in securities law, Delaware law, and corporate governance.
Compensation and Benefits

The expected annual pay range for this position is $310,000-$420,000. Please note that final offer amount will be dependent on geographic location, applicable experience and skillset of the candidate.
