Job Opportunity

BHSI has an exciting opportunity for an Underwriting Technician to join the Transactional Liability team in our New York City office. The Transactional Liability team provides insurance in connection with Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A), including Representation and Warranty Insurance, Tax Insurance, and Contingent Liability Insurance.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Capture submission and policy data and prepare reports for Underwriters
• Build electronic files and ensure file integrity
• Support underwriters with all activities related to account management
• Coordinate policy issuance and liaison with Operations team
• Correspond with brokers; follow up on outstanding information
• Act as a liaison to the Operations Group

Qualifications, Skills And Experience

• 1-3 years commercial insurance experience is preferred
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong working knowledge of Excel for data management and reporting
• Proven attention to detail
• Must be proactive and able to work within a team environment
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Strong willingness to learn
• BA/BS degree or equivalent experience

The base salary range for this position in New York is $60,000 to $80,000, along with annual bonus eligibility. Total compensation for a candidate is determined by their relevant skills, location, and experience.
