Role:
Senior Claims Specialist – EPL/Fiduciary, Job Code 13574. This role is with AXIS North America Claim Team and involves managing primary and excess claims for various AXIS policy forms, including Employment Practices and Third Party Liability claims, with opportunities to develop knowledge in Fiduciary Claims.

Responsibilities
  • Handle and manage complex Employment Practices Liability Claims to determine appropriate valuation and settlement strategies while adhering to company policies.
  • Engage in Fiduciary claims; experience in Fiduciary claims is a plus.
  • Attend mediations and monitor trials as necessary.
  • Draft coverage correspondence on primary claims, negotiate complex coverage issues, and recommend outside coverage counsel when warranted.
  • Mentor junior claims adjusters.
  • Support underwriting and actuarial teams by maintaining data and analytics.
  • Maintain and develop relationships with senior executives, brokers, underwriters, insureds, and outside counsel.
  • Manage costs in collaboration with the Litigation Management and Vendor Management teams.
  • Maintain accurate records of claim activities and update systems in a timely manner.
About You / Qualifications
  • Hold a Juris Doctorate.
  • Demonstrate the ability to work as a team and meet deadlines.
  • Have skills in litigation management, investigation, and dispute resolution.
  • Have experience independently drafting coverage letters.
  • Exhibit excellent oral and written communication skills for diverse stakeholders.
  • Role requires in-office presence 3 days per week and adherence to AXIS licensing requirements.

  • Base salary range: $130,000 – $160,000, with offers based on experience and location.
