Position: AI Integration & Knowledge Systems Analyst
Location: New York

Summary

The AI Integration & Knowledge Systems Analyst is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining automated processes that integrate Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools into the Firm’s Knowledge Management (KM) platforms, Application Development ecosystem, and other core systems. This role combines strategic leadership and technical expertise with hands‑on delivery. It is focused on driving AI transformation, improving AI literacy, and codifying governance practices that reduce risk and increase business value.

It sets vision and architecture, aligns stakeholders, and directly manages evaluation, rollout, training, and ongoing optimization. Working across Application Development, IT Security, IT Infrastructure, and practice teams, the Analyst will architect AI‑enabled workflows that are secure, compliant, and measurable. The position drives parallel execution across multiple initiatives to accelerate adoption and deliver meaningful, durable improvements to attorney and staff productivity.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • With direction from IT Management, contribute to and help maintain a phased integration strategy for Legal AI systems that includes business goals, technical outlines, and success indicators.
  • Support release planning, change control, rollout coordination, and act as a Tier II/III escalation contact for AI incidents while maintaining performance and incident documentation.
  • Monitor and coordinate the implementation of solutions to open issues and enhancements within the Firm’s AI systems.
  • Architect, build, and maintain integrations connecting AI services with other systems – e.g., Document Management System, transaction databases, Finance systems, people management systems, 3rd party services.
  • Implement agentic workflows that leverage LLM capabilities into solutions that address specific business use cases.
  • Work closely with IT Security to ensure existing solutions continue to meet the Firm’s standards, and to perform security assessments of potential solutions.
  • Coordinate the evaluation of third‑party AI solutions with vendors and internal stakeholders. Document findings and produce clear summary documents that outline each vendor’s strengths and weaknesses mapped to the Firm’s objectives, use cases, and success metrics.
  • Monitor the AI legal solutions market and brief the Firm’s AI Working Group and relevant committees, serving as a resource on developments in the industry.
  • Develop and deliver role‑specific training materials and lead engaging virtual and in‑person sessions.
  • Provide on‑site and remote escalation support for desktop and mobile environments in a 24/7/365 environment.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required
  • 5+ years designing and delivering enterprise integrations/automations.
  • Experience integrating LLM/AI platforms via APIs.
  • Strong knowledge of KM and document‑centric workflows.
  • Proficiency with integration and automation tooling and at least one scripting language.
  • Ability to create clear technical documentation and communicate complex topics.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong analytical, problem‑solving and decision‑making skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership driving cross‑functional initiatives.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Ability to work with employees at all levels.
  • Ability to work independently and determine priorities.
  • Customer‑service mindset and ability to collaborate across levels.
Education and Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Computer Science or Information Services or business‑related field.
  • Minimum 5+ years’ experience in document management, knowledge management or information technology required.
  • Experience with AI/ML or enterprise semantic‑search preferred.
  • 5+ years’ law‑firm experience preferred.
Working Conditions
  • Normal office environment with little exposure to excessive noise, dust, temperature, etc.

Wachtell, Lipton, Rosen & Katz provides competitive compensation and benefits to its employees, ensuring that we attract and retain the most talented individuals. The expected base salary for this role ranges from $115,000 – $125,000. The base salary offer is based on a variety of factors which includes, but is not limited to, qualifications, education and experience.
