Senior Solutions Architect, Databricks

A leading consulting firm is seeking a Senior Databricks Solutions Architect to lead the design and delivery of a greenfield modern data platform engagement for a Fortune 500 client.

This is a highly strategic role where you will take ownership of the architecture and implementation of a Databricks-powered Lakehouse platform, working closely with senior client stakeholders, engineering teams, and delivery leadership. The position is hybrid in New York City, requiring regular on-site collaboration with both the client and internal delivery teams.

• Lead the end-to-end architecture and design of a greenfield Databricks Lakehouse platform
• Define enterprise data architecture, governance, and platform standards using Databricks
• Work directly with Fortune 500 stakeholders to translate business objectives into scalable data solutions
• Provide technical leadership across data engineering, platform architecture, and solution delivery
• Design scalable pipelines and data frameworks using Databricks, Spark, and Delta Lake
• Establish best practices around performance optimization, security, and data governance
• Guide engineering teams through implementation and platform build-out
• Support roadmap development for advanced analytics, AI, and machine learning capabilities

• Extensive experience architecting solutions using Databricks in enterprise environments
• Strong background designing Lakehouse architectures and modern data platforms
• Deep experience with Spark, Delta Lake, and large-scale distributed data processing
• Experience working within cloud data ecosystems (Azure, AWS, or GCP)
• Proven ability to lead large-scale enterprise data transformation projects
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills in client-facing environments

• Databricks certifications (Professional or Architect level)
• Experience with Unity Catalog, MLflow, or Databricks Serverless
• Background delivering consulting engagements for large enterprise clients
