Hybrid/On-Site Support Across Multiple Offices in NYC & NJ

Position Overview

We are seeking a motivated IT Support Technician with 1–3 years of hands‑on experience to provide technical support across our multi‑entity organization. This role involves a blend of hardware setup, software support, basic networking, and on‑site assistance across several office locations. The ideal candidate is proactive, detail‑oriented, and comfortable interacting with employees at all levels.

Responsibilities
  • Set up, configure, and maintain workstations, laptops, peripherals, and office hardware
  • Perform basic hardware assembly, including building or upgrading computers when needed
  • Provide on‑site technical support across our Millburn, Matawan, and NYC offices
  • Troubleshoot issues related to operating systems, common software applications, and user accounts
  • Assist with WiFi/network connectivity, VPN setup, and general networking support
  • Support user onboarding: account creation, permissions, and software installation
  • Handle equipment moves, light physical tasks, and office tech logistics
  • Maintain accurate documentation, ticket updates, and hardware inventories
  • Collaborate with internal teams to support IT projects and system improvements
  • (Optional/Preferred) Assist with basic Python scripting, automation tasks, or network configuration
Word Press / Portal Support
  • Perform routine updates, plugin reviews, and user/access changes
  • Assist with troubleshooting portal login and permission issues
  • Coordinate with external developers when issues require escalation
Qualifications
  • Excellent interpersonal communication and customer service skills
  • 1–3 years of IT support, help desk, or technical operations experience
  • Strong understanding of PC hardware and troubleshooting techniques
  • Working knowledge of Windows, Mac, and Linux systems
  • Familiarity with enterprise networks (CCNA / Network+ a bonus)
  • Ability to perform light physical work (e.g., moving computer equipment, running cables)
  • Reliable transportation and ability to travel to multiple office locations as needed
  • Bonus skills:
    Python, Power Shell, or Bash scripting
