A leading fintech infrastructure firm is building a competitive margin trading platform as its highest-priority initiative. The BA/PM will own the translation of existing requirements into detailed user journeys, functional documentation, and delivery artifacts that engineering, compliance, and legal teams can execute against. This is a hands-on, individual contributor role — not a coordination or administrative function.
Responsibilities- Own end-to-end user journey mapping and functional documentation for the margin trading platform
- Translate senior stakeholder requirements into clear, actionable specs for engineering squads
- Drive requirements refinement through cross-functional collaboration with engineering, legal, and risk teams
- Serve as the single point of contact across multiple squads for delivery alignment
- Identify and document risk issues, dependencies, and open items throughout the project lifecycle
- Actively manage timelines and elevate blockers to senior leadership as needed
- Coordinate with an assigned PMO liaison for daily tracking while remaining the primary driver
- Support agile iteration and course correction as regulatory and technical landscapes evolve
- 6+ years in a hybrid BA/PM role within financial services
- Direct experience with margin trading, Reg T, portfolio margining, or post-trade settlement operations
- Proven ability to produce high-quality functional specs, process flows, and user journey documentation
- Experience working directly with senior stakeholders who have strong domain opinions
- Ability to drive projects independently with minimal hand‑holding
- Background working within or alongside brokerage, clearing, or trading platform environments
- Exposure to crypto or digital asset products in a financial services context
- Familiarity with SEC and FINRA regulatory compliance workflows
- Experience at a bulge bracket bank, major broker dealer, or fintech trading platform
- Agile/squad‑based delivery environment experience
