Technical Business Analyst, Origination Data Pipeline & Reporting

We are seeking a technically minded, data-driven Technical Business Analyst to support the build out of origination data pipelines and reporting capabilities for a Financial Institutions Group within a leading alternative asset manager.

This role sits at the intersection of business strategy, data engineering, and analytics. The consultant will partner directly with senior leadership and work closely with developers, data engineers, and project managers to transform origination data into scalable pipelines, actionable insights, and streamlined workflows.

The ideal candidate combines strong technical fluency (data, programming, APIs) with excellent communication and analytical skills, and thrives in fast-paced, collaborative financial services environments.

• Partner closely with the Head of the Financial Institutions Group, supporting strategic and technical initiatives tied to origination data and reporting.
• Collaborate daily with developers, data engineers, and project managers to translate business needs into scalable technical solutions and data products.
• Ingest, structure, and analyze large datasets from origination platforms and desk workflows to identify insights and process improvement opportunities.
• Support the design and implementation of data pipelines and reporting workflows using Snowflake, Sigma, Power BI, and related tools.
• Write and validate SQL queries and data transformations to support reporting, analytics, and data quality initiatives.
• Contribute to process automation and scripting efforts using Python or similar languages.
• Document business requirements, data definitions, API integrations, and workflow logic to ensure clarity and alignment across stakeholders.
• Act as a bridge between business stakeholders and technology teams facilitating communication, prioritization, and delivery velocity.

• Contribute to reporting enhancements that improve transparency across the origination and investment lifecycle.

• 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, Technical Business Analyst, Data Analyst, or similar role in data-intensive environments.
• Strong programming or scripting skills in Python, Java, or another object-oriented language.
