Our US retail practice partners with leading retailers in North America, transforming their business with a mix of analytical products designed specifically for retailers and consumer packaged goods companies, and bespoke consulting engagements.

• Strategic leadership:
  Own senior level relationships within the client’s organization, building trust as an embedded partner who understands their planning cycles, constraints, and decision‑making processes.
• Insight‑to‑action:
  Lead your team to deliver insights that seamlessly bridge from analysis to business application, inspiring commitment to act and driving tangible commercial impact.
• Pattern recognition:
  Proactively identify patterns across ad hoc merchant requests and propose strategic initiatives that address underlying business challenges, utilizing AI‑driven analytics capabilities.
• Value pool discovery:
  Identify and scope quick‑win analytics that prove out value pools for potential 6–12 month data science and AI programs in macro space, assortment, and pricing optimization.
• Team leadership:
  Manage dedicated onsite (US) and offshore (India) data scientists and consultants, balancing urgent tactical requests with strategic value discovery and developing team capabilities.
• Change management:
  Drive initiatives to embed insights and AI‑powered recommendations into established merchant workflows and decision‑making processes, ensuring analytical outputs translate to measurable business outcomes.

• 8+ years in retail merchandising, planning, category management, or embedded analytics within a retailer organization. Experience with retail/CPG data science and consumer insights companies is highly desirable.
• Proven track record of transforming data from descriptive outputs to decision‑ready insights that inspire stakeholders to act.
• Experience with AI and machine learning applications in retail analytics, with a genuine passion for applying AI to solve real‑world business challenges.
• Strong knowledge analyzing customer, transaction, or sales data in a retail context.
• Ability to build trusted advisor relationships and influence without authority.
• Demonstrated ability to coach team members on insight delivery and storytelling, with experience managing geographically distributed teams.
• Effective communication and presentation skills, with the ability to sell ideas and explain complex concepts including AI methodologies to non‑technical audiences. Skilled at saying no diplomatically and managing competing priorities.
• Strong experience embedding analytical insights and AI‑powered recommendations into established business workflows and decision‑making processes.
• Demonstrated ability to translate ambiguous business problems into structured analytical approaches and identify patterns across multiple requests to propose strategic initiatives.
• Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced and regularly changing environment, juggling multiple stakeholders and projects.
• Tertiary qualifications in a related discipline.
