Role: E-Commerce & Website Operations Specialist
Location: New York, NY
Employment Type: Full-time, On-site
The E-Commerce & Website Coordinator is responsible for the day-to-day management, optimisation, and execution of our Shopify websites. This role plays a key part in ensuring the sites are commercially strong, visually aligned, technically sound, and operationally efficient.
Working closely with the Web Developer and internal teams, this position requires strong hands-on Shopify experience, confidence managing apps and integrations, and the ability to contribute to performance optimisation across launches, restocks, sales, and ongoing platform improvements.
Key Responsibilities Shopify & Platform Management- Own the day-to-day management of multiple Shopify websites
- Confidently execute product uploads, collection builds, tagging, navigation updates, merchandising adjustments, and discount configuration within Shopify
- Support the Web Developer with website updates, app integrations, and ongoing site improvements
- Assist with the setup, testing, and ongoing management of:
- New Shopify apps and platform features
- Integrations such as search, loyalty, reviews, back-in-stock, and merchandising tools
- System and workflow updates as new tools are introduced
- Stay up to date with Shopify platform updates, app capabilities, and workflow tools, identifying opportunities to streamline operations and enhance site performance
- Support technical QA and testing when new features, apps, or integrations go live
- Flag website issues, bugs, or inconsistencies and coordinate resolution
- Regularly review the performance and relevance of installed apps, identifying inefficiencies or redundancies within the tech stack
- Monitor website performance metrics including conversion rate, bounce rate, AOV, and collection performance
- Identify opportunities to improve on-site conversion and customer journey flow
- Review navigation structure, filters, and search functionality to ensure intuitive and frictionless shopping
- Monitor zero-result searches and recommend improvements
- Support A/B testing initiatives and on-site optimisation experiments
- Ensure homepage, collection pages, and product pages are aligned with campaign objectives
- Manage product visibility, tagging, and presentation across the website
- Monitor stock levels and restocks, ensuring products are updated accurately and efficiently within Shopify
- Manage Back in Stock functionality across both sites
- Ensure archived or discontinued products are removed or updated appropriately while maintaining visual and commercial alignment
- Support regional alignment across multiple sites, ensuring consistency in product setup, merchandising, and presentation
- Maintain best-seller ordering and collection hierarchy through reporting and data analysis
- Run Shopify and merchandising reports to inform product placement decisions
- Re-order collections and product grids based on performance and inventory
- Merchandise new launches, collections, and sale categories to ensure clarity and strong visual presentation
- Support merchandising features such as “Complete the Look” and other cross-sell tools
- Support end-to-end launch preparation from a Shopify and website operations perspective
- Ensure all products, pricing, collections, tags, and merchandising are accurately set up ahead of launch
- Support sale builds, discount logic, and promotional setup within Shopify
- Conduct thorough site checks pre- and post-launch
- Ensure regional consistency across international sites during launches and promotional periods
- Manage product metadata including SEO titles, descriptions, and URL structures
- Ensure accurate tagging and categorisation to support organic search visibility
- Monitor and resolve broken links or outdated content
- Support ongoing site audits to maintain navigation accuracy and commercial alignment
- Minimum 2–3 years experience working directly within Shopify or a comparable e-commerce platform
