Position Description

We are seeking a reliable and technically skilled PC Support Technician to join a 24/7 onsite support team in New York, NY. This is a fully onsite role supporting critical operations across multiple facilities, including control centers and backup sites. The selected candidate must be comfortable working the midnight shift (12:00 AM – 8:00 AM) and operating in a fast‑paced, mission‑critical environment.

This role focuses on desktop support, hardware deployment, system administration, and troubleshooting across Windows and Apple environments. You will provide hands‑on technical support, maintain computer hardware and software, and ensure seamless end‑user experience across enterprise systems.

The ideal candidate is proactive, detail‑oriented, and experienced in an enterprise IT support environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide 24/7 onsite desktop and technical support in a critical operations environment.
  • Install, configure, update, and maintain computer hardware and software.
  • Troubleshoot Windows and Apple operating systems.
  • Deploy and support desktops, laptops, handheld devices, printers, and peripherals.
  • Perform Active Directory account management and system administration tasks.
  • Support Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook/Exchange, and enterprise email systems.
  • Utilize Service Now (or similar ticketing systems) to track and resolve incidents.
  • Troubleshoot networking issues including TCP/IP connectivity and Ethernet cabling.
  • Support Cisco networking devices and related infrastructure.
  • Assist with Oracle client‑based applications.
  • Coordinate technical projects and system upgrades across departments.
  • Conduct hardware/software evaluations and technical reviews.
  • Lift and move IT equipment as required.
  • Maintain strong communication with end users and internal IT teams.
Required Skills / Education
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • 3+ years of Desktop Support / PC Support / IT Support experience.
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Windows (7/8/10), Microsoft Office Suite & Outlook, Active Directory, Service Now or similar ticketing systems.
  • Experience supporting Apple/macOS environments.
  • Knowledge of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, Ethernet, Cisco devices).
  • Experience with hardware troubleshooting and PC deployment.
  • Strong interpersonal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work fully onsite and overnight shift (12 AM – 8 AM).
  • Ability to lift and move equipment as needed.
