IT Support, Systems Administrator
The Senior Systems Administrator is ON-SITE and responsible for overseeing day-to-day IT operations across the organization. This role supports system administrators, provides direct end-user support, and ensures the stability, security, and performance of all IT systems.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND DUTIES- Managing and maintaining hardware and software systems
- Removing security threats and malware
- Troubleshooting network failures and researching solutions
- Performing system upgrades, backups, and data recovery
- Assisting in workstation life cycle rotations
- Monitoring servers and minimizing downtime
- Preventing data corruption
- Providing remote and on-site support
- Escalating issues as necessary
- Completing inventory documentation and administrative requests
- Delivering training to other departments
- Assisting with deployment of new software and system upgrades
- Following company procedures when handling financial or identity data
- Administer and maintain systems support for software, workstations, and servers
- Test, troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve hardware and software issues
- Perform upgrades, patches, and updates to production applications and servers
- Configure, monitor, and maintain updated virus protection software
- Perform regular backups and emergency data recovery
- Monitor servers and participate in 24x7 infrastructure monitoring
- Segment networks using switches and WAPs
- Maintain, manage, audit, and support cybersecurity on devices, applications, and appliances
- Remove security threats and malware
- Hybrid Cloud / Exchange email systems
- Windows Server 2019 administration
- Barracuda Full Suite
- Active Directory and Azure AD (users, groups, GPOs)
- Office 2019 & O365 applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Low voltage cabling
- Hybrid Mac/Windows environments (extensive Mac OS knowledge PREFERRED)
- Familiarity with MICROS Simphony, Toast, Square POS
- Provide timely technical support for users
- Deliver white-glove service on-field, over-the-phone, and remote support
- Helpdesk ticketing management, prioritization, and delegation
- Manage & provide mentoring and technical guidance to IT staff/team
- Project management from start to completion
- Roll up sleeves to support business needs
- Create and revise technical documentation
- Document system and network infrastructure, applications, and configurations
- Maintain procedural documentation for IT operations
- Travel to multiple NYC and NJ locations to work varying schedules as business demands require to attend required meetings and/or training sessions
- Strong troubleshooting skills & problem solving abilities
- Ability to prioritize and multitask in fast-paced, high-pressure environments
- High attention to detail
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Minimum 7 years IT experience required
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field preferred
- Proven IT work experience required
- Must comply with all Cipriani rules and regulations
- Subject to disciplinary action for violations
- Must maintain neat, clean, well-groomed appearance
- Must obtain/maintain required licenses or permits
- Ability to stand for extended periods and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Endurance to withstand long hours of standing, walking, and repetitive motions.
- Lift and carry objects, weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Flexibility to bend, stoop, reach, and perform physical tasks.
- Adherence to proper lifting techniques and ergonomics to prevent strain or injury while performing job duties.
