Work Schedule: 35 hours per week, Regular, Full Time, (M – F, 9 am – 5 pm)

Location: On-site in the Lower East Side

Exempt Status: Exempt

Salary: $80, Annually

Job Summary

Reporting to the Director of Information & Technology, the IT Systems Experience Administrator
-Data plays a key role in supporting and enhancing Henry Street’s technology platforms, including Microsoft 365, identity & data systems, servers, endpoint management tools, agency-wide applications, and data protection. This role ensures that data systems operate securely, efficiently, and reliably to deliver a positive user experience across all programs. The administrator supports reporting, system configuration, metadata and retention practices, and on-site user guidance to enable reliable, complaint, and mission-aligned data usage.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in IT Related Field
  • 5+ years of experience in Data Systems Administration in LAN/WAN environments
  • Demonstrated admin proficiency with Microsoft 365, including Teams, SharePoint, One Drive, and Outlook, with admin level familiarity with macOS/iOS.
  • Demonstrated Admin proficiency in Microsoft Security and Compliance (Purview and Defender)
  • Microsoft Certified in Security Compliance
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong customer service orientation and ability to work with diverse populations.
Preferred Candidate Qualifications
  • 5 Years Experience as Lead IT Data Administrator in LAN/WAN environments
  • Certified SQL or Data Administrator in an industry-recognized certification
  • Microsoft Certifications in Security Compliance
  • Microsoft 365 Administrator Certification Strongly Preferred
  • Experience assisting users with varying levels of technical knowledge
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • 2 Years of Data Protection and Server Infrastructure Management Experience
Responsibilities
  • Own day-to-day administration of assigned data systems and repositories, ensuring availability, accuracy, and reliability
  • Produce, validate, and deliver reports required for program operations, leadership, and compliance
  • Manage Data Loss Prevention (DLP) systems through Mimecast and Microsoft Purview
  • Execute data quality reviews and remediate data issues within established standards
  • Administer and support Microsoft 365 systems, including SharePoint, Teams, One Drive, Microsoft Purview, and related services. Including permissions, metadata, and retention settings assigned
  • Create, update, and maintain documentation and runbooks for assigned systems to ensure business continuity
  • Ensure compliance with data handling, access, backup, and retention requirements across assigned platforms
  • Manage identity and access controls through Azure AD and on-premises Active Directory
  • Provide advanced support for escalated technical issues that cannot be resolved by frontline support staff
  • Communicate proactively with IT leadership regarding system risks, outages, escalations, and project status
  • Independently manage assigned tasks and timelines, escalating risks or blockers promptly
  • Participate in technology deployments, upgrades, and organizational IT projects
  • Contribute to IT strategy, governance, security practices, and continuous improvement efforts
  • Other duties as assigned by the Director of Information & Technology
Essential Physical Job Functions
  • Maintain physical ability and stamina to perform position tasks.
  • Ability to walk up a six-story walk-up building as needed.
  • Sit or stand for prolonged periods; walk, kneel, crouch, stoop, squat, twist, climb, and lift up to 30 pounds.
  • Withstand exposure to noise, vibration, cool temperatures, and electrical equipment.
  • Ability to work onsite in the Lower East Side.
