Location: New York
Our client is looking for a remote Senior Support Engineer to join their team!
This is a remote/full-time/six-month contract position; 4PM–12AM shift Salary based on experience: $45/HR Responsibilities:- Understand full-stack architectures, inclusive of ITSM (Service Now), Enterprise-driven workflows, Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and CI/CD deployment models, Enterprise Network Orchestration & Automation, Source of Truth, Chat Ops, Network Observability, and knowing how open source can lead or complement a given architecture
- Identify project risks and challenges, develop resolution plans, and support troubleshooting
- Analyze major incidents and issues to identify the root cause
- Develops well-written technical documentation of solutions built for clients
- Performs peer reviews, provides guidance, and contributes to best practices of code
- Quickly adopts new technologies and continuously demonstrates technical excellence
- Work collaboratively with multiple teams to investigate and resolve customer issues
- Passion for technology and excellence in delivering solutions
- Solicitude in helping customers throughout their automation journey
- Honesty and empathy to those around you daily
- Provide comprehensive resolutions via actionable tasks from incidents and problems
- Quick adoption of new technologies and continuously demonstrated technical excellence
- A focused and solution-oriented approach necessary to see tickets through to completion
- Confidence and decisiveness in progressing tasks while being flexible and open
- 5+ years of experience with several of the following tools:
Python, Django, Docker, Ansible, SQL - 5+ years of experience with CI/CD and how it could be applied to support automations
- 2+ years of experience with concepts around data management, including IaC and Source of Truth strategy
- Experience with utilizing existing REST APIs within a web framework
- Experience with tools and libraries such as pytest, Nornir, Netmiko, NAPALM, Nautobot, Netbox
- Strong understanding of traditional Git workflows for working in a collaborative environment
- A strong understanding of the Source of Truth automation strategy
