This role combines hands‑on client delivery with practice growth, including shaping offerings, supporting revenue generation, and deepening senior client relationships. We are looking for someone who wants to build, not just deliver—a data leader who thrives at the intersection of architecture, governance, and business strategy, and is motivated to help scale a practice while driving meaningful impact in the NYC market.
Key Responsibilities- Apply deep domain expertise and management consulting discipline to shape, lead, and deliver complex client engagements focused on business architecture, data architecture, metadata management, data governance, and data operating model design, primarily within financial services and other data‑intensive industries.
- Partner with clients to design and operationalize enterprise data architectures, including conceptual, logical, and physical data models aligned to business capabilities and strategic objectives.
- Lead metadata management and data catalog initiatives, including business glossary development, lineage, ownership models, stewardship workflows, and tool enablement (e.g., Collibra or similar platforms).
- Serve as a trusted advisor to senior client stakeholders by translating technical data concepts into clear business value, risk reduction, and operational efficiency outcomes.
- Actively support practice growth by contributing to go‑to‑market strategy, solution development, thought leadership, and proposal efforts aligned to Data Management offerings.
- Continuously deepen technical and industry expertise while remaining fungible and able to support adjacent practices when client needs require.
- Achieve target project utilization of 80% by actively originating and supporting opportunities aligned to personal expertise.
- Own an individual annual sales production target, contributing directly to practice and firm revenue goals.
- Collaborate closely with Risk & Regulatory and AI & Analytics practices to deliver integrated, end‑to‑end solutions that connect architecture, governance, analytics, and regulatory outcomes.
- Identify gaps in tools, methodologies, or regulatory capabilities and propose practical enhancements to strengthen client impact and practice depth.
- Lead client delivery within our Service Delivery Framework, ensuring high‑quality outcomes, strong delivery governance, and excellent client satisfaction.
- Effectively manage, mentor, and develop Managers, Senior Consultants, and Consultants through clear expectations, coaching, performance feedback, and career development.
- Drive utilization and team effectiveness through proactive staffing, demand planning, and alignment of work to team capabilities.
- Ensure operational rigor across forecasting, time tracking, risk management, and engagement governance.
- Represent our values in in‑person client meetings, industry events, and NYC‑based relationship‑building activities, helping to strengthen our local market presence.
- Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or advanced degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline strongly preferred.
- 8+ years of experience in risk and regulatory compliance, with demonstrated success in leadership roles.
- Advanced proficiency in PowerPoint, Excel, and the entire Microsoft Office Suite.
- Extensive experience managing large‑scale consulting engagements and delivering measurable results.
- Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills, including interpreting complex regulatory content for business audiences.
- Deep hands‑on experience with:
- Enterprise data architecture and data modeling
- Metadata management, business glossaries, and lineage
- Data governance operating models and assessment frameworks
Proficiency with:
- Data Lakes, Data Warehouses, and Data Lake houses
- Platforms such as Snowflake and Databricks
- Data integration tools such as Kafka and Talend
- Data modeling tools such as Erwin, ER Studio
- Cloud Data Management fundamentals (ideally CDMC certified)
- Strong understanding of how data architecture and metadata enable regulatory compliance, analytics, operational efficiency, and digital transformation.
- Proven ability to lead large, multi‑workstream consulting engagements and deliver measurable business outcomes.
