Systems Analyst, IT Consultant
Description
1. Evaluates user needs and requests for information systems relative to current systems and available technologies and applications.
2. Participates in training offered on assigned applications and develops expert understanding of application functionality.
3. Collaborates with the team on testing (unit, functional, and integrated).
4. Serves as liaison with user departments in resolving system/application issues.
5. Assists in implementing system enhancements and upgrades.
6. Evaluates problem situations in depth, arrives at independent conclusions, and coordinates problem resolution related to information systems use and implementation within the department, among departments and disciplines, with medical staff, and outside vendors.
7. Evaluates processes as requested and recommends re-engineering around the utilization of computerized applications to maximize departmental and organizational efficiency and effectiveness.
8. Provides ongoing analysis, maintenance, and technical and functional support for information systems throughout the organization. Identifies system deficiencies, analyzes problems, and implements solutions independently.
9. Participates in routine system software migration and upgrade processes.
10. Assists colleagues with troubleshooting issues and offers project guidance.
11. Supports Epic Nova notes reviews, build tasks, integrated testing, training, ticket resolution, upgrades, and downtime assistance.
12. Keeps abreast of new developments in healthcare and healthcare information systems through continuing education, literature review, and conferences.
13. Performs other duties as assigned.

Education Required: Bachelor’s Degree and/or equivalent work experience related to the responsibilities above.
License(s) Required: N/A
Experience/Skills Required:
- Preferably two years’ experience in a healthcare-related field with two years’ experience in IT management of clinical systems.
- Solid understanding of hospital operations and workflow.
- Experience with Epic, including certifications for Professional Billing and Claims and/or other relevant Epic certifications.
- Strong written, verbal, and organizational skills, with analytical, problem-solving, planning, and prioritization abilities.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently or within a team.
- Detail-oriented, deadline-driven, and solutions-focused.
- Proficient in Microsoft applications (Access, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Good English communication skills.
- Capable of managing a dynamic workload.
