Overview
The Summer Analyst will support the Related Security team and gather an understanding of the importance of collaboration with all other business departments in order to create a safe and secure working environment for Related employees, tenants and partners. The summer analyst will go on tours, sit in on meetings/calls and be assigned various projects throughout the summer that demonstrate why the Safety and Security team is crucial to the continued success of the company.
Responsibilities- Become familiar with the Ontic platform to produce analytics and data for upper level management
- Utilize Ontic to collaborate with locations across the country to display monthly metrics
- Update and track new vendor presentations and proposals
- Ability to uphold all security processes to company standards
- Understand all security procedures that make-up the team
- Collect and prepare written monthly security metrics for review and assessments
- Produce daily, weekly and monthly written deliverables, and provide briefings as appropriate
- Identify trends and risks
- Conduct research of corporate and publicly available information sources to identify threats and risks
- Conduct background checks
- Prepare written situation reports, alerts and notifying appropriate stakeholders during incident/crisis situations
- Prepare and brief products that support security operations
- Regularly support the functions and operations of the security operations centers
- The hourly rate for this position is $25-$30
- Current undergraduate sophomore or junior with a target graduation date between June 2027-June 2028
- A major/minor in any of the following categories:
Intelligence, International Relations, Criminal Justice, National Security, Information Systems (cybercrime), Political Science, Counter terrorism, Security Studies (or related fields) - Interest in security, intelligence and emerging threats to real estate in the private sector, critical infrastructure and Public-Private partnerships
- Ability to collaborate with cross functional teams
- Strong research, analytic and critical thinking skills
- Demonstrates clear and concise communication skills, both verbally and in writing
- Self-Starter with a proactive approach to tackling tasks and challenges
- Ability to navigate ambiguity and adapt to new challenged in a dynamic environment
- Resume must include expected graduation month/year and GPA
