Associate Business Intelligence Specialist

Job Summary
:
Northwell Health is a healthcare organization seeking an Associate Business Intelligence Specialist. This role involves assisting in the design and development of custom BI dashboards, conducting data analysis, and collaborating with end users to meet reporting needs.

Responsibilities
:

• Assists with the development of dashboards, metrics, or insights and identifies trends or anomalies.

• Consults with users or decision makers to identify data sources, required data elements, or data validation standards.

• Follows direction from development teams to design business intelligence solutions to facilitate data gathering, storage, and retrieval.

• With direct guidance and oversight, collaborates with end users in the design and development of custom dashboards, metrics and reports.

• Analyzes and evaluates end user’s reporting needs and translates business requirements into detailed technical design and programming specifications.

• Assists with researching and conducting data analysis in support of resolution of production issues.

• Documents all report related activities including user requests, report specification, development, modification, testing and on-going production support.

• Assists with creating dashboard and reporting solutions to meet user needs and requirements.

• Operates with direct guidance and work assignments are generally straightforward and of moderate complexity.

Qualifications
:
Required
:

• Bachelor's Degree required, or equivalent combination of education and related experience.

• 0-1 years of relevant experience, required.

Preferred
:

• Experience Using SQL, Python Or R, Strongly Preferred

• Experience with cleaning and extracting data from large data sets, strongly preferred

• Health Informatics Data Experience, Preferred
