Senior Site Reliability Engineer

A leading global financial technology firm is looking to bring on a Senior Platform Engineer to help design, build, and scale the infrastructure that supports mission‑critical trading and data systems. • Automate infrastructure and operational workflows using Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform and AWS CDK.
• Build and optimize CI/CD pipelines using Code Build, Git Hub Actions, or similar tools to support large‑scale distributed systems.
• Implement and maintain observability solutions with platforms like Datadog and Cloud Watch to enable proactive monitoring and incident response.
• Ensure availability and performance of relational and time‑series databases such as Postgre
  
  SQL and Quest
  
  DB, including replication and failover strategies.
• Deploy and manage in‑memory caching systems such as Redis.
• Maintain and scale distributed SQL databases such as Cockroach
  
  DB or Yugabyte
  
  DB.
• Define and enforce reliability practices, including SLOs/SLIs, automated remediation, and post‑incident analysis.
• Operate workflow orchestration environments using Apache Airflow.
• Manage distributed event‑streaming systems such as Apache Kafka.
• Automate workflows and integrations across internal tools such as Slack and Jira.
• Implement security best practices for IAM, networking, and encryption in cloud‑based environments.
• Maintain high code quality standards using tools such as Sonar Qube.

• Extensive hands‑on experience with AWS services in production environments, including EC2, ECS, S3, RDS, Lambda, MWAA, API Gateway, Route
  53, SSM, EFS, Dynamo
  
  DB, Cloud Front, VPC, Code Build, Code Pipeline, Code Artifact, Config, Elasti Cache, and Backup.
• Strong programming and automation experience in Python, including building CLI tools and operational automation scripts.
• Experience with event‑streaming technologies such as Kafka or Kinesis.
• Deep understanding of distributed systems, fault tolerance, disaster recovery, and performance tuning.
• Hands‑on experience with observability tools such as Datadog, ELK, or Cloud Watch.
• Proven experience managing infrastructure with Terraform, AWS CDK, or comparable IaC tools.
• Experience managing and optimizing relational databases, including schema design and query tuning.
• Strong background in incident management, root‑cause analysis, and improving system reliability.
• Preferred experience in high‑performance computing, financial systems, low‑latency environments, or other mission‑critical domains.

• Experience with data warehousing technologies such as Snowflake, Databricks, or Redshift.
• Experience in data engineering or ETL pipeline development.

• Build and scale infrastructure supporting globally distributed, high‑throughput systems.
