Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) - Up to $500k+Bonus - UAE Relocation - Buy-side firm
Location: UAE (Abu Dhabi/Dubai)
A globally active fund is building a large-scale investment platform spanning trading, research, portfolio management and risk. With significant user growth and complex multi-jurisdictional compliance requirements, the CISO will be a mission‑critical executive hire responsible for securing the firm’s entire investment technology ecosystem.
The CISO will design and lead the global cyber security strategy for the platform, protecting proprietary models, large-scale financial data, trading infrastructure and confidential information. This role requires deep buy‑side or financial services experience and strong technical credibility across cloud, data and AI environments.
Key Responsibilities- Architect and implement security across cloud infrastructure, data platforms, AI/ML pipelines and trading systems.
- Secure model development environments and protect against AI‑specific risks including data poisoning, model manipulation and IP leakage.
- Establish robust identity and access management for a growing global user base.
- Lead cyber risk, threat detection, incident response and resilience testing.
- Ensure compliance with global financial services and data protection regulations.
- Oversee third‑party and vendor risk across cloud, technology and market infrastructure partners.
- Build and scale a high‑calibre security function aligned with platform growth.
- Proven CISO or senior security leadership experience within a buy‑side financial institution.
- Strong understanding of investment technology, trading platforms and data‑intensive environments.
- Experience securing cloud‑native and AI‑enabled systems.
- Demonstrated expertise in regulatory compliance, cyber risk management and crisis response.
- High discretion and executive presence suitable for a principal‑led environment.
