A global industry leader is launching a high-priority strategic initiative to accelerate its Fin Tech and Payments growth within the US market. We are seeking a seasoned professional with deep payments expertise and a consulting mindset to lead and deliver high-impact commercial projects as a central part of this expansion.

Scope of Engagement

The selected consultant will be embedded within the US Fin Tech Commercial team in New York City, working in close partnership with internal stakeholders to ensure seamless integration and strategic execution.

Direct Impact:
You will drive the localized roadmap for a world-class digital ecosystem.

Executive Alignment:
This project is sponsored by the Head of North America Fin Tech, providing direct executive visibility and ensuring alignment with global business priorities.

Collaborative Environment:
You will act as a bridge between commercial strategy and operational execution, operating side-by-side with cross-functional leadership to scale payment solutions in a competitive domestic landscape.

responsibilities:

Execute US Fin Tech Strategy: Collaborate with senior leadership to design and implement comprehensive go-to-market plans for domestic payment solutions, including market sizing, opportunity assessment, and multi-year execution roadmaps.

Drive Revenue and Cost Optimization: Identify and deliver commercial initiatives to unlock incremental revenue and efficiency, specifically through optimizing payment acceptance, fraud mitigation, chargeback management, and strategic contract negotiations.

Expand Strategic Partnerships: Lead the identification, negotiation, and lifecycle management of key partnerships with major financial institutions and card networks (e.g., Visa/Mastercard) to drive value across the corporate ecosystem.

Cross-Functional Alignment: Facilitate high-impact collaboration across Product, Legal, Operations, Fraud, and Treasury teams to ensure seamless execution and total alignment with core business priorities.

Executive Communication: Prepare actionable business cases and performance updates, translating complex technical payment solutions into engaging, visual narratives for executive-level decision-making.

Value Creation Beyond Payments: Explore and scale non-traditional value streams, including data insights, marketing sponsor ships, and distribution enhancements through strategic Fin Tech integration.

qualifications:

Experience (6+ years) in payments, Fin Tech strategy, commercial partnerships, and

business development-ideally with a proven track record in the US market.

- Strong analytical and strategic planning skills, with the ability to size markets, prioritize

opportunities, and deliver P&L-positive results.

- Demonstrated success in the inception and execution of complex projects, from initial

concept through to delivery and measurable impact.

- Expertise in stakeholder management and cross-functional project delivery.

- Communication and storytelling abilities, especially in executive and visual formats.

- A passion for innovation and value creation beyond core payments, including data driven and partnership-led initiatives.
