Business Intelligence Analyst, AI

Overview

Persistent Systems is seeking a Business Intelligence Analyst, AI, to join our team in our NYC headquarters. The Business Intelligence Analyst, AI will help us to integrate, test and evaluate AI systems into our daily business operations. We know that data is only as good as the story it tells. As a Business Intelligence Analyst, AI, your mission is to turn raw data into actionable insights that drive our company’s strategy.

You will be our "data translator," digging into complex datasets to identify trends, create stunning visualizations, and help leadership make decisions based on facts rather than gut feelings.

• Design, build, and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using tools like Power BI or Tableau
• Write and optimize complex SQL queries to extract data from various relational databases
• Perform data mapping and transformation to ensure datasets are accurate, consistent, and ready for analysis
• Analyze historical data to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for business growth
• Partner with department heads (Marketing, Finance, Ops) to define Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and reporting requirements
• Monitor automated reports for data discrepancies and perform root-cause analysis on any issues found

• 2 to 5 years in a data analytics or business intelligence role
• Bachelor’s degree in data science, statistics, mathematics, finance, or a related quantitative field
• Experience utilizing AI evaluation tools like LangSMith, Arize Phoenix, Braintrust, Langfuse, Maxim AI and OpenAI Evals
• Advanced proficiency in SQL and at least one major BI tool (Power BI, Tableau, or Looker)
• A sharp eye for detail and a "detective" mindset when it comes to data validation
• Strong understanding of UI/UX principles as they apply to data storytelling

• Basic proficiency in Python or R for advanced statistical analysis
• Experience with Pytorch, Tensor

• Experience with data modeling concepts (Star Schema, Snowflake Schema)
• DA-100/PL-300 (Microsoft Data Analyst) or Tableau Desktop Specialist

The total compensation for this role can vary from $133,000 to $166,000 a year based on individual qualifications. Eligibility for yearly discretionary bonus.
