Mastermind is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Journey Developer to own the development, testing, and maintenance of automated marketing journeys across our internally developed Marketing Automation Platform (MAP). This technical role is ideal for someone who thrives in a cross‑functional environment, working closely with marketing strategists, data operations, and engineering teams to bring customer journeys to life.
The ideal candidate has extensive experience building and optimizing marketing journeys, with a strong technical foundation in MAPs and a passion for translating strategy into seamless customer experiences. You’ll be at the center of innovation, helping build journeys that drive meaningful customer engagement and business impact.
Whatyou will do Journey Development & Execution
- Own the end-to-end development of automated marketing journeys, from initial build to ongoing optimization.
- Translate campaign strategies into technical requirements and implement them within the internal MAP.
- Ensure journeys are built to scale, with clean logic, efficient triggers, and robust error handling.
- Conduct thorough testing and QA to ensure flawless execution across all customer touchpoints.
- Work closely with marketing and data teams to integrate audience segments, triggers, and personalization logic.
- Leverage SQL to query and manipulate data for journey logic, targeting, and reporting.
- Monitor journey performance and identify opportunities for improvement in engagement, deliverability, and conversion.
- Implement A/B testing within journey logic to enhance engagement and conversion results.
- Implement updates and enhancements based on performance insights and stakeholder feedback.
- Maintain documentation and internal resources to support journey transparency and scalability.
- Serve as a technical partner to Marketing Managers, helping translate strategic goals into automated workflows.
- Participate in planning sessions to align journey development with campaign timelines and business objectives.
- Provide internal support and training to ensure teams understand journey capabilities and limitations.
- 5+ years of experience owning the development of marketing journeys within a Marketing Automation Platform (MAP).
- Strong proficiency in SQL and experience working with complex data sets.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deliver high-quality work in a fast-paced environment.
- Detail-oriented with a strong focus on QA, testing, and performance monitoring.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Experience working cross-functionally with marketing, data, and engineering teams.
- Familiarity with customer journey mapping, lifecycle marketing, and campaign automation best practices.

Compensation and Benefits (US Applicants Only)- Sp&P Global states that the anticipated base salary range for this position is $69,661 to $105,000. Final base salary for this role will be based on the individual’s geographical location as well as experience and qualifications for the role.
