Role: Service Now Solution Architect
Mode: Fulltime
Location: Remote
Travel: 20%
As a Service Now Solution Architect, you will play a key role in designing and guiding the implementation of complex Service Now solutions across multiple platforms and modules. You will leverage your deep knowledge of Service Now capabilities and best practices to architect robust solutions that drive business value, improve operational efficiency, and ensure alignment with client needs.
Key Responsibilities- Solution Architecture:
Lead the design and implementation of end-to-end Service Now solutions, including GRC, Sec Ops modules, and other Service Now applications. - Strategic Planning:
Collaborate with business stakeholders, project managers, and technical teams to define the architectural vision and roadmap for Service Now implementations. - Customization & Configuration:
Oversee the customization and configuration of Service Now modules, ensuring best practices and scalability. - Integration Design:
Architect integrations between Service Now and third-party systems (such as LDAP, Active Directory, SAP, and custom APIs), ensuring seamless data flow and system interoperability. - Leadership & Mentorship:
Provide technical leadership and guidance to development teams, ensuring the adoption of best practices and consistent, high-quality coding standards. - Platform Optimization:
Identify opportunities to optimize Service Now environments for performance, usability, and cost-efficiency, including reviewing data models, integrations, and workflows. - Governance & Security:
Establish governance processes to ensure the integrity, security, and compliance of Service Now environments, including the proper management of data, access control, and system configurations. - Client Engagement:
Act as a subject matter expert, providing advice and recommendations to clients on Service Now architecture, process automation, and platform capabilities. - Documentation:
Produce comprehensive solution documentation, including architecture diagrams, workflows, and implementation guides. - Upgrades & Enhancements:
Lead efforts for system upgrades, patching, and platform enhancements, ensuring minimal impact on operations and aligning with new Service Now releases and features. - Serve as primary technical point‑of‑contact for projects focused on cybersecurity capabilities within Service Now (IRM/GRC, SIR, VR).
- Define technical solutions for architecture and design that are aligned with the client's business problems and Service Now implementation best practices.
- Maintain expert knowledge of the Service Now platform and products focused on IRM/GRC & Sec Ops.
- Experience:
10+ years of hands‑on experience designing and implementing Service Now solutions, with at least 3 years in a lead or architect role. - 5+ years of experience in implementing Service Now GRC, Sec Ops modules, with a focus on stakeholder management.
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree.
- CTAs/ Service Now Certified Candidates Preferred, Service Now CIS certification in Risk & Compliance.
- Experience in implementing and supporting Sec Ops and GRC projects.
- Understanding of common cybersecurity concepts such as vulnerability management, risk management, cyber security frameworks (NIST, COBIT), attack vectors, threat intelligence.
- Proven consulting experience as a key technical resource leading the development and delivery of Security & Risk/GRC solutions in client environments.
- Experience with key technologies relevant to Service Now integration solutions including SSO, SAML, SSL, Web Services, LDAP, JDBC, ODBC, REST, SCP, FTPS.
- Experience with scripting in the Service Now platform using Java script.
- Ability to listen, interpret, strategize and consult on complex business processes and technical concepts.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, customer‑centric attitude, and situational awareness.
- Outstanding verbal, written, and presentation skills.
- Experience with scripting, business rules, UI policies, and other Service Now customization features.
- Experience with Service Now integrations with third‑party systems.
- Experience with ITIL principles and best practices.
