Job Description:We are seeking a skilled SQL Database Administrator (DBA) with a strong background in programming to manage and optimize our database systems, ensure data integrity, and contribute to application development. The ideal candidate will have experience designing, implementing, and maintaining databases while supporting development teams with SQL and programming expertise.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:Database Administration:
- Manage, monitor, and maintain SQL databases to ensure high availability and performance.
- Implement and oversee backup, recovery, and disaster recovery plans.
- Optimize database performance, troubleshoot bottlenecks, and resolve issues.
- Design and implement database schemas, tables, and indexing strategies.
- Write efficient and optimized SQL queries, stored procedures, triggers, and functions.
- Collaborate with development teams to design and integrate databases into applications.
- Automate database-related tasks using programming languages (e.g., Power Shell, or C#).
- Implement database security measures, including role-based access control and encryption.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, system administrators, and analysts.
- Create and maintain documentation for database systems, configurations, and processes.
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college; and
- Minimum two (2) to four (4) years of experience in the SQL DBA or in a related role.
- Expertise in Microsoft SQL Server.
Skills:
- Familiarity with Ubuntu or its variant.
- Proficiency with C# programming language.

Shifts:
- Monday – Friday, 9:00 am – 5:00 pm.
- Current office employees:
To be eligible for a transfer or promotion, staff must have already served at least 1 year in their current position and be in good standing. In addition, must meet the minimum qualifications of the position. - Looking for candidates that could commit to one (1) year to the hiring Unit.
