As a Staff Data Scientist, reporting to the Director of Analytics, you will guide analytics projects across Customer Support, Finance, Go-To-Market, Marketing, Product, and Strategy teams. You will champion truth-seeking across the business, bringing clarity to complex areas through technical expertise and data-led storytelling to improve understanding and identify improvements. The ideal candidate is intensely curious, holds a high analytical bar, and balances rigor with speed and business impact.

We currently have multiple roles open across Flex Analytics and are prioritizing analyst support for Product, Partnerships and GTM domains.

• Improve understanding of key Flex domains by creating scalable frameworks that connect data across the business into interpretable outputs
• Proactively root cause data and performance issues to ensure continued strong performance
• Create and improve dashboards, visualizations, and automations to scale analytics across Flex
• Establish clear causal links between actions and outcomes through experimentation and relevant methods where applicable
• Combine data and strategy to bridge what the data tells us with implications for strategic priorities across the business
• Champion best practices, precise terminology, and robust documentation within Analytics and across the organization
• 5+ years of experience using analytical and statistical methods to support and drive critical business outcomes
• Expert communicator who can break down complex technical concepts into simple business vernacular
• Experience across analytical domains that bring unique perspectives to solving hard problems
• Demonstrated success driving business strategy and outcomes from an analytics lens
• Advanced experience with SQL and business intelligence tools (e.g., Tableau, Mode, Looker)
• Experience with ETL processes, especially using dbt and Snowflake
• Track record of using quantitative, analytical, and problem-solving skills to drive decisions
• Biased for action while highlighting tradeoffs/risks of moving too quickly
• Strong ownership mindset with curiosity to understand how systems work

This role is hybrid with on-site expectations of 3 days per week in our New York Headquarters. We also have offices in the Bay Area and Salt Lake City.

• 5+ years of experience in analytics or data science roles
• Strong SQL and BI tool proficiency
• Experience with ETL, dbt, and Snowflake
• Proven ability to communicate complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders
• Experience supporting multiple business domains and driving strategic outcomes

Flex takes a market-based approach to pay. For candidates in Tier 1 markets (NYC/SF), base salary range is $155,000—$194,000 USD. For other U.S. locations, starting pay is adjusted based on geographic zone. Please speak with your recruiter for specifics.
