Axsome Therapeutics is seeking a Senior Manager, Field Reimbursement Analytics and Field Effectiveness (Neurology) to lead the operational infrastructure supporting our internalized Field Reimbursement Manager (FRM) team and Neurology sales operations. This role is critical to managing the transition from external vendor to internal operations while scaling support for increasing patient service volumes and complex incentive compensation requirements. The position requires deep technical expertise in data engineering, automation, and operational analytics to support field targeting, performance reporting, and incentive compensation administration.
The ideal candidate combines strong programming and analytical capabilities with excellent communication skills to translate complex technical concepts into actionable insights for field leadership and internal stakeholders.
This role reports directly to the Director of Field Effectiveness.
Location:
This role is based at Axsome’s HQ in New York City with an on-site requirement of at least three days per week. We are unable to consider candidates who are looking for fully remote roles.
- Manage targeting strategies and ongoing alignment changes for the FRM team, including weekly and monthly call plan updates, territory realignments and incentive compensation coordination
- Serve as primary liaison between FRM leadership, Commercial Operations, Market Access, and external vendors
- Build and maintain automated data infrastructure integrating CRM, claims, and PA submission/approval data to enable real-time patient service analytics and market access intelligence
- Create dashboards and reports for the FRM team showing PA initiation rates, submission volumes, approval rates by territory, market access trends, and field execution metrics
- Identify relevant KPIs and collaborate with field leadership to implement analytics that enable effective performance management and opportunity identification
- Develop advanced analytics linking PA rates, approval rates, and FRM activity patterns by geography to identify market access barriers and optimization opportunities
- Handle ad hoc sales analytics, reporting, and incentive compensation requests for Neuro sales teams
- Create targeted analyses to identify field execution opportunities based on CRM engagement data and secondary data sources (IQVIA/Symphony). Support continuous improvement of sales operations processes across the Neuro portfolio
- Support Sales leadership in the organization and coordination of National Sales Meetings, Manager Meetings, and Period-of-Action (POA) planning sessions
- Prepare executive-level presentations translating complex analytical findings into clear business recommendations
- Additional responsibilities as assigned
- BS/MS/PhD in Engineering, Physics, Applied Physics, Statistics, Computer Science, or related quantitative field strongly preferred
- A minimum of 6 years of sales operations experience in the pharmaceutical or biotech industry (which may include work as a consultant or supplier to the industry)
