This is a full-time, on-site role located in New York, NY. The Data Manager – Performance Improvement & Innovations will co-lead in the development, management, and strategic use of data systems and dashboards to support organizational performance, compliance, and continuous improvement. This role serves as a critical bridge between data operations and strategic decision-making, ensuring that accurate, timely, and actionable insights are available to leadership and program teams.
This position provides strategic administrative support in two (2) core areas:
- Dashboard Development and Data Management
- Risk Management and Compliance
- Enabling Data-Driven Decision Making:
By managing dashboards and conducting statistical analyses, the position ensures that leadership has access to reliable data to guide strategic planning and operational adjustments. - Supporting Compliance and
Risk Management:
Through internal audits and incident tracking, the role helps maintain adherence to regulatory standards and proactively addresses potential risks. - Improving Organizational Efficiency:
Automation and system integration streamline data workflows, reducing manual effort and minimizing errors. - Enhancing Program Quality:
By collaborating with teams and identifying training needs, the role supports continuous improvement and alignment with agency goals.
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Public Administration, or a related field; advanced degree is a plus
- Certifications Preferred in Microsoft, Google Data Analytics Professional, or Certified Information Management Professional
- Proficiency with software tools such as Excel, data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI), or statistical analysis software
- Strong skills in data analysis, data management, and the use of databases and reporting tools
- Experience in performance improvement strategies, data collection methodologies, and reporting standards
- Strong project management abilities, multitasking skills, and attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication and the ability to translate data findings into actionable strategies
- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and stakeholders
- Prior experience in human services or a non-profit organization is preferred
