OverviewA leading global financial services organization is seeking a Vice President to join their Cyber and Information Risk team. This is a hands‑on, high‑impact role focused on independent review and oversight of the firm’s information security and data management programs. The VP will play a critical role in evaluating risk, challenging remediation efforts, and influencing risk and control practices across technology and data initiatives, all while collaborating with senior leadership and key stakeholders.

- Conduct independent reviews of information security and data management programs, identifying gaps in controls and recommending improvements.
- Perform thematic and horizontal reviews of operational risk events to propose control enhancements and reduce risk recurrence.
- Challenge and validate remediation plans for large‑scale risk issues, ensuring sufficiency and alignment with regulatory expectations.
- Work closely with technology and data management teams to evaluate controls against industry standards and evolving threat landscapes.
- Prepare clear, actionable status reports and present findings to leadership, audit committees, and regulatory bodies.
- Maintain and review policies, standards, and procedures related to information security and data governance.
- Act as a trusted point of contact for business and technology stakeholders, providing credible risk guidance.
- Mentor and guide junior team members, fostering skill development and knowledge transfer.
- Influence decision‑making and gain credibility across multiple levels of the organization through thoughtful risk challenge and recommendations.
