Overview
Citibank, N.A. seeks a Specialized Analytics Lead Analyst for its New York, New York location.
Responsibilities- Work with large internal and external data sets to evaluate, recommend, and support the implementation of business strategies.
- Identify data sources, retrieve data from Citi’s legacy and big data platforms, and compile data using tools such as SAS, SQL, Python, PySpark and R to predict, improve and measure key business outcomes.
- Analyze data to translate it into insights that inform customer behavioral drivers and support building the business strategy roadmap.
- Document data requirements, perform data collection, processing and cleaning, and conduct exploratory data analysis using statistical models, algorithms, and data visualization techniques.
- Conduct financial forecasting and profitability analysis to provide data-driven product strategies for Cards Digital channels.
- Apply analytical, economic and statistical principles to evaluate and simulate the financial viability of product designs.
- Identify revenue drivers and assess long-term profitability of prospect acquisitions in digital channels.
- Measure performance indicators to evaluate the performance of acquisition programs.
- Leverage statistical models, segmentation tools and machine learning models to develop customized targeting strategies, and improve efficiency in targeting, expense allocation and performance in digital channels.
- Partner with modeling teams to execute differentiated pricing based on value-driven custom scores; determine the impact of model solutions on key business metrics.
- Facilitate optimization of investments in different digital acquisition sources and bidding for paid media through key performance analysis and marketing operational efficiency reviews.
- Design multivariate tests to measure the performance of Cards acquisition programs and maintain a repository of historical offers and in-market testing data; compare cross-channel test results and conduct sensitivity analysis.
- Telecommuting/hybrid work schedule may be permitted within a commutable distance from the worksite, in accordance with Citi policies and protocols.
- Requires a Master’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Business Analytics or related quantitative field and 2 years of experience in a related role (e.g., Business Analyst, Business Analytics Senior Analyst, Model/Analysis/Validation Analyst) involving data extraction and analysis to support strategy building and evaluation in the global financial services industry.
- Alternatively, a Bachelor’s degree in the stated fields and 6 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience.
- Full span of experience must include:
- Data extraction, processing, cleaning, visualization, and analysis;
- Cost benefit analysis, break-even analysis, financial simulation and forecasting;
- Financial performance evaluation and profitability analysis;
- KPI identification and tracking;
- Segmentation and predictive models (including logistic regression, decision trees and machine learning methods);
- SAS/SQL, Python, R, and PySpark;
- Banking and financial markets domain knowledge;
- Multivariate analysis and statistical sampling techniques (e.g., t-tests, ANOVA, contingency tables, Chi-squared);
- Financial concepts including P&L, discounting, revenue margin, and Net Present Value;
- Supervised and unsupervised machine learning methods; and
- Calculus, linear and non-linear optimization, and marketing analytics.

Wage Range: $199,700 to $213,200
