Job DescriptionJob Title: IT Support Engineer
Job Type: Contract (6 months)
Job Location: New York City, NY
Work Schedule: Onsite
Pay Rate: $45/hr, Based on experience, Open to C2C candidates as well.
Responsibilities and Qualifications- Presentation and Communication:
- Strong presentation skills for conducting training sessions, leading stand‑ups/town halls, and clearly communicating technical issues and solutions to a non‑technical audience
- Leading new hire onboarding - first impression for new employees must deliver onboarding charismatically and with technical accuracy
- Comfort working in a fast‑paced, dynamic startup environment
, demonstrating flexibility, proactiveness, and a willingness to take ownership of tasks beyond the defined scope. - End User Support & Helpdesk Management:
- Proficiency in managing and prioritizing IT support tickets.
- Experience with ticket queue management, including ticket response, creation, and escalation procedures.
- Ability to learn and adhere to team escalation processes.
- On‑site Support & Events:
- Ability to provide on‑site support for the NYC office.
- Experience in supporting office events, stand‑ups, and town halls.
- Hardware and Equipment Support:
- Hands‑on experience with standard desk setups
- AV Equipment management and upkeep of conference room technology (Poly, Neat, Google Meet)
- Strong troubleshooting skills for both Windows, Mac, and Cloud PC operating systems. Must demonstrate ability to apply a systematic approach to problem‑solving.
- Experience and familiarity with managing common enterprise applications (e.g., Slack, Gmail, Okta, Jamf, Intune).
- Printer Management:
- Proven experience in managing and troubleshooting printers in an office environment.

40+%:
Mainly looking for a charismatic person with strong presentation skills. They'll be focused on onboarding tasks, organizing meetings, coordinating with new hires, getting them their equipment, and most importantly leading the onboarding session every Monday for new hires. This meeting is their first introduction to the meeting, so that's why the manager is looking for someone with strong presentation skills and charisma to make a good first impression.
